Ingredients
| 2 oz — | bourbon or rye |
| 1 oz — | sweet vermouth |
| 2–5 — | dashes angostura bitters |
| Garnish |
| thin citrus wheel |
| maraschino cherry |
Method
- Combine bourbon, vermouth, bitters, and ice in a cocktail shaker
- Shake until the outside of the cocktail shaker is very cold to the touch
- Strain into a coupe or cocktail glass
- Garnish
