Hash Browns
Ingredients

medium russet potato
1½ tsp

unsalted butter
—
salt, pepper, cayenne, etc
Method
Peel and wash the potato
Grate the potato onto some cheesecloth
Use the cheesecloth to wring as much water out of the potatoes as possible
Heat a nonstick skillet with the butter
Add the grated potato and season it
Let it get crusty and then flip and fold the crusty part back in
Repeat until hash browns are perfect
