Method
Prep
Butter an 8"x8" baking dish and optionally line with parchment paper
Chop the chocolate
Make the batter
Melt the butter and chocolate over a pan with barely simmering water
when it's about 80% melted, stir together until smooth
In a medium mixing bowl using an electric hand mixer
Add the eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla extract and whisk until ribbon stage
Add the chocolate and whisk on high speed for a few minutes
Add the flour and whisk on low speed until the flour just disappears
Transfer into the prepared baking dish and smooth out the top
Bake
Bake at 350F for about 35 minutes
a toothpick 2" from the edge should come out clean
Wait until completely cool before cutting
